a collection of “fotos” by Austin-based photographer, sebas

the why?
I've always been fascinated by the science of photography; how a scene can be captured, developed, and then scanned into an image, allowing you to view it as many times as you like. There's an intricate beauty in the interplay of lighting, colors, people, locations, and, most importantly, the 'why' behind each photo. Sometimes, a photo is spontaneous and random, yet equally as infectious as one that was meticulously planned.
there is a beauty in both.
It's the 'why' that varies from person to person. One individual might interpret your photos differently from the next. One might seek to deconstruct the image, while the photographer may not want any interpretation at all. But who cares what they think? It's only what you make of it.
why do you do it?
Sometimes, it's to explore a new idea. Other times, it's to capture a shot you've been envisioning. And occasionally, it's to immortalize a memory. Yet, despite all this…
I am still trying to figure the why?
